This code appears as the last line of every MT template, and it stays there, even after I delete it or replace it with other text.
I am running MT 4.2 (RC 2) on a hosting plan with Yahoo! Small Business.
For some background: At first, I activated the pre-installed copy of MT, only to realize it was 3.2. So I deactivated it, deleted all related files and folders, and destroyed the MySQL database. Then I did a clean install of 4.2.
Any ideas?

I'd be talking to your host Yahoo about that.. I hope that's free hosting if they're throwing links like that on your pages. I can't imagine MT doing it.
Andrew, did you have any problems with copying \php\extlib\smarty.cvsignore file during install? It looks like Yahoo hosting doesn't support leading dots in filenames. I tried to upgrade from 3.2 using these instructions: http://www.learningmovabletype.com/a/installmovabletype4inyahoosmall_business/ Kinda helpful but it's still doesn't work for me anyway :)
