I have an MT 4.261 install on a Redhat 5.6 with a Mysql 5.1 backend. It has been running without issue for many many months.

Some time last night bloggers were no longer able to enter text in the body section of the Entry screen. All other fields on the screen accept text. I also noticed that the blog selection drop down isn't working while the sub drop downs all work fine. Additionally as administrator I can't disable plugins either. I get the popup to confirm the disable but nothing happens after that.

I have multiple other blogs running on the same host with their own MT homes and static spaces as well as the same version and attaching to the same DB. They are working fine in all areas mentioned above.

I haven't found anything in the activity logs and confirmed the CGIPath in mt-config (unchanged in over a year).

I'm at a loss and under pressure to resolve it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob

My repair of your database is now complete. All tables are reponding as OK,
and not corrupted, etc. The Login button is appearing in the upper right
corner and appears to be functional.

I cannot be certain why elements of your page are not appearing, as there
are not any errors in the Apache error logs pertaining to this and no
tables are corrupt. You may want to investigate these issues further from
within Movable Type or using their documentation.

Best regards,
Hi,

I have the following problems:

It seems the login problem is still there, as I just tried to login and

got this error message:

Hello,

I repaired a few crashed tables in your database. Please see if you are

Hello,

I was able to log into your Movable Type admin section properly. Are you
still experiencing any problems? Please try clearing your browser's cache
and then logging in. If you are still having issues after that, please
let us know the steps we can take to reproduce the issue.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Hello,

What is the username and password you are using to log into your Movable
Type administrative section? We would need this so we can try to reproduce
the error you are seeing.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

I have Markdown turned on for our blog posts but after an entry is made, I look at the index file and see that
or
haven't been converted to compliant XHTML
tags.

Can anyone help troubleshoot?

Hi,

I'm really frustrated and would HUGELY appreciate anyone's help.

I recently upgraded my 3.x MT blog to v5 due to malware on the old blog.

The old blog featured archive paths like so, which I like:
http://www.vagabonding.com/travelogue/000100.html

The new one changed the paths to:
http://www.vagabonding.com/travelogue/2003/07/things_that_go.html

TWO QUESTIONS:

1. Any way I can revert back to the old path type? I hate to change all my permalinks.

2. If the answer to the above is no, how can I edit that path to remove the year, month, and, ideally, include more of the blog entry name?
