I want to purchase a cloud server and didn't know how many nodes to buy.

one node include a 0.6GHz CPU, 376RAM and 15GB disks.
I want to have a lamp server and a Movable Type for ten people to blog.

Is there any advices that how many nodes need to buy.

  • I think the point of using servers in a cloud setting is that you can add "nodes" (or as Amazon calls them "instances") at will, and then use some sort of load balancer to take advantage of them.

    I don't know which company you are looking at, but any good cloud provider should offer you the option of upgrading or downgrading a node/instance at any time, and pro-rating your bill accordingly.

    That being said, the specs you list seem rather under-powered for any system.
