I am new to use MT.
I just installed the Movable Type version 5.14en, totally based on the instructions here http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/installation/install-movable-type.html.
But after my installation,I entered my web address which is subdomain, like www.example1.example.com, then it cannot turn to the main page of my web. It shows index of/....

Can anybody help me with this issue?
Where the main site is placed?

Publishing the site will did it..

Yes, publishing the site is a must when you use movable type's static publishing feature. This feature makes movable type such a stable platform, since the page is physically generated on the server.
In your case, you've created also a child blog, but didn't publish its parent website, which was meant to publish at the domain root level.

Actually I set many many wordpress site. MT is entierly diffrent. This is the first time I'm using it. Probably take some time to used to it. But I'm loving it becuse it seems more secure than wordpress.
Yes, MT is different than WP and one of its PROs is that it generates files physically on the server and that it is more secure.
