This is an interesting (weird) issue:
When editing templates and saving with Firefox 8, there is never a response, always waiting. When this happens, I can no longer access any sites which are MovableType enabled. Access to non MT sites are normal.
I initially thought it may be a server problem but server tech support reports server operating normally. Solution is to restart PC and when checking template status it appears changes were saved.
I've checked all the browser settings and cleared browser cache with no help.
Anyone else experiencing this? And ... ?
This has never happened in MT 4+.
My work around is to use Google Chrome or (OMG) IE 9 for editing templates.
Reported on Movable Type 5

Hi Merv,
Thanks for your report. The development team is fixing browser related issues especially for IE9 and FF8 toward the next release. Do you get this issue every time you use template editor with FF8 ? or it occurs occasionally ?
By the way, I created a FogBugz case for your feedback.

Hi Jun,
Thanks ...
Is there a setting in the config file I can set to potentially catch unreported internal issues?
I'll take some time to exercise template MT-5 editing to see if I can detect a pattern and report it on FogBugz.

There is a DebugMode config directive. But it may not effective on this case since it seems to be a template editor (CodeMirror) issue instead of Movable Type core.

By the way, do you still have this issue even you turn-off the syntax highlight of the template editor ?
FYI, the following plugin disable code mirror itself.

Firefox upgraded from FF8 to 9 and now 10. Have not experienced issue and have not changed anything in MT 5.12. I'm thinking it was a FF8 problem. it had issues with some Google JS code too.
Hope this helps. IE8, IE9, Chrome ... have not experienced issues.
Thanks for monitoring.
