When trying to change the active widgets in the widget sets (MT ver 5), the drag and drop funciton is not working. I searched the archives but found no entry.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

john

  • Hi John,

    What do you mean with:
"I searched the archives but found no entry."

    From inside:
    Design -> Widgets

You could click on an "Widget Set" and that would bring you to "Edit Widget Set".

Inside that movable type admin page you could drag and drop widgets. Once you are done with that click on "Save Changes".

Then, don't miss out to use the "Publish Site" option from the top right corner (the icon with the two rounded arrows) and rebuild your website or blog pages.

That is required for your widget set changes to show up on your site pages.

    Kind Regards,
    Mihai Bocsaru

  • I looked for a solution on the forum in past topics firs but found no solution. (sorry if this was misleading)

Yes, I understand how to move the widgets and republish. The problem is that in IE9 I am unable to drag the widgets.

I can drag them in Fire Fox but not IE9.

Just checking to see if anyone has a solution for IE9 and dragging the widgets.

  • Forget about IE9 and movable type 5 :)

The platform isn't compatible with MT5!

  • Or better said, that is a known problem and the an upcoming release is supposed to make it compatible with IE9.

  • Thanks Mihai,

Already moved to Firefox for the site work.

  • You're welcome John!

    Firefox is a lot better.

A good alternative is also Google Chrome.

If you need to share template code, replace all the "<" signs with "<" or use this utility.
