I can't trouble shoot this and the docs and things I find on the web all seem so old...
I am getting an error message when I try to configure and save the plug in -
Error saving plugin settings: Could not register story template with Facebook: Unknown method
I am pretty sure I have the API and secret keys correct, etc. The domain is set up in the Facebook app page - it all looks right - just wondering if maybe it doesn't work anymore?
Reported on Movable Type 4.3

I'm using it with v4.36 and I don't see any reason why it won't work with v4.37 as well.
Make sure to include the patch from:

I found that patch -
I am confused as the old API Key - (not the secret) - seemed to be a long set of numbers. I have some older installs where the plug in, as is, appears to be working...
I just added to the header and I am rebuilding - I will try it again.
Is your API key shorter though than your secret key? How long ago did you create it?
No I tried it all - still getting this error:
Error saving plugin settings: Could not register story template with Facebook: Unknown method
Been searching all over but only found it in some templates... either FB changed something again or the new API Key is not right somehow... I just set this new one up a couple of hours ago - do you sometimes just have to wait until you can use it???
Can you point to a site where you are using it? When I click on Sign In here http://www.movabletypedemo.org/ (without registering first) the animation just spins and spins... nothing ever happens.
I didn't integrate it on the movabletypedemo.org initiative, but thanks for spotting the spin that takes for ever to go further (I will have a look at it tomorrow).
You could see it in action on http://www.bizreport.com/
Go inside an individual article and try to sign in, from where the commenting section is (the client didn't want a sign in widget on the top of anywhere else).
Yes - that is how it works on some of my other installs... I don't know what is up. I think maybe they changed something, but it is backward compatible - but trying to do it new now (getting new APP and API keys) is not working... very annoying!!!
Congratulations on your wedding btw!
Thanks! It took place on August the 20th, but today I felt like changing the very old photo that I had here. As old as 4 years ...
What I could try to do for you in the morning is to send you via email the plugin files I've used on that project and you could try to see if they work for you or not.
Shout me an email from my contact page with your email address.
Aha - I noticed you seem to go from boy to man suddenly! I will email you my address - thanks.
Anthony
haha, yeah, the photo was from the time before the crisis... :)

I feel like I'm missing something. I'm running MT5 and have been using the facebook commenter plugin successfully for well over a year. Today I got an email from facebook saying as of 2/1/2012 the api calls will no longer work for this plugin. Has anyone else run into this problem?
I'm finding it hard to believe I would need to attempt changing the plugin code to use the new facebook SDK and oauth. Is this plugin just not supported anymore?
