I would like to run a contest through my blog where I enter the varies entries (via code) onto the post. Then, entrants and the public can vote on their favorite entry. Is there a plug-in that would allow voting on numerous entries within one blog post?

You could consider the Ajax Rating plugin from:

After you get that installed and working, you would see the ajax rating coding for each and every entry.
Once you extract the coding for voting on an entry, you could easily produce a clone of that for other entries and thus reach your goal with allowing people to vote for numerous entries from inside a blog post.
