I know I'm not the first to have this issue, but I want to be sure I'm doing the installation correctly. After installing the Action Streams plugin and logging into MT I got a message that I needed to upgrade. I proceeded, and received the error message: "Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference". in reading other forum posts it looks like there may be an issue with the extlib directory. Here's where I need some clarification:
Both in the list of files here: https://github.com/movabletype/mt-plugin-action-streams and in the zip file I downloaded, there is no extlib folder in the main directory, only in plugins/ActionStreams/. Is this the one I am supposed to put in my extlib directory? Then if I follow the instructions and put the contents of the plugins folder in my plugins directory, am I also putting the extlib folder in there (since it's in the plugins folder)? Or am I missing an extlib directory? The three directories I'm supposed to upload (extlib, mt-static, and plugins) are certainly not all in the same folder as the instructions suggest, so I must have done something wrong, but now I can't even get into MT unless I get rid of this thing.

Hi Steve,
Beau moved the /extlib/ folder to be where you've located it.
So when installing it, you should simply upload the content of the /plugins/ folder to your plugins folder (2 folders in there to be uploaded) and then the content of the /mt-static/ folder to your /mt-static/ folder (1 folder in there to be uploaded).
According to the plugin documentation it should work fine with movable type v5.02.
I don't see why it won't work with an earlier version.
What version are you using now?
Kind Regards,
Mihai Bocsaru

I'm on 5.04, so should be fine. I'll give it a shot and see how we do.
I'm still getting the same error.
I just installed it on my v5.12 PRO installation and it worked just fine.
You may like to backup your movable type database and installation files and then upgrade to v5.12.
Once that is done, re-upload all the plugins you have now, including the Action Stream one.
Would there be a problem with the installation if the cron job wasn't working properly? I use GoDaddy hosting and they have a cron module that seems to work a little differently, not that I would know from experience.
They are rubbish in general, but for this issue they shouldn't be blamed, because you say you are getting the error when going to MT, not that the plugin doesn't do its job...
It worked -- thanks again.
You're welcome Steve!
