Vote 0 Votes

Hi All,

my MT 5 installation runs well but I can't see the choosed style at the front end.
- mt-static path in the mt-config.cgi should be ok.
- The mt-static folder got 755
- I can see the pics at the MT back end
- I can choose the different styles and I can apply and rebuild
but there are no changes at the front end.

Hope you can help me out

  • Hi Ulli,

I am not positive that the CGIPath and StaticWebPath directives are correctly configured.

    Why?

Because the search function doesn't bring to the right place and because the paths to the themes from inside:

    http://www.tattoo-entfernung.de/styles.css

    are broken...

Now, in order to provide you advice, I would need to know the server paths where you have the MT CGI and the mt-static files stored on your hosting account.

I would also need to know how you are declaring these settings inside your mt-config.cgi file.

    Kind Regards,

  • Dear Mihai,

the MT CGI is stored at root: /cgi/mt/mt.cgi
the mt-static is stored at root: /mt5-static/

The settings in the mt-config file are:

    #======== REQUIRED SETTINGS ==========

    CGIPath /cgi/mt/
    StaticWebPath /mt5-static/
    StaticFilePath /is/htdocs/1234567/www/mt5-static

    Thanks for your help
    Ulrik

  • Hi Ulrik,

No, unfortunately the MT CGI and the mt-static folders are not available in the places that you are mentioning.

When I access those folders from inside the browser, I get a 404 error, which suggests that the files are not there.

You may like to send me FTP access and MT Admin access via email to the email account from my website contact page.

    Kind Regards,
    Mihai Bocsaru
