Hi Guys
I have just upgraded from 4.25 to the latest 5 version 5.12
I used my old config file and all seemed to go well. The database upgraded ok and I ended up at the login screen. Thing is I have full access now to the admin panel and can see all my settings and entries in admin albeit with the basic theme, but when I click "view site" I get this page
mt-static - OK
Any ideas please?
Mark.

Hi Mark,
May I your project URL?
It looks like you've uploaded the contents of your /mt-static/ folder inside your root folder, or that the parent website that movable type created for you is pointed to the /mt-static/ folder (which is a bit unlikely to happen).
Anyway, I don't know if you are aware of this, but movable type 5's product architecture imposes a parent website above a blog. One parent website could have multiple blogs, but no blogs could exist without a parent website.
And when you've upgraded, MT 5 added a parent website above your blog(s).
You will have to check the parent website settings and to make sure it points to your blog URL (or the URL of the main one, if you have more blogs).
Then, if the blog (or main blog) is posting on the root, as well, you may want to either change the parent website templates to publish at different individual pages URLs, or even to set to not publish, or delete the parent website templates.

Hiya
mt-static is renamed to 15dnBlog and is in public_html
http://www.15dn.com/15dnBlog/
This is how it alwasy was for all my previous versions. I have PMed you.
Mark.
When you click on "View site", what is the URL where you are taken?
Also, what is the URL of your blog?
Thanks,
Mihai
Hiya
Emailed you with admin details. Take a look..
Mark..
PS
This is the URL youre taken to
http://www.15dn.com/15dnBlog/
Hi Mark,
I've logged in to your MT Admin and I've set all the templates from inside the parent website that movable type created above your blog to "Do not publish", so that if by accident you add a page to the parent website, it won't overwrite your site home page.
Then, I've checked the blog from under that parent website and seen that your main index template ends in "index.php".
The reason why you are seeing the "mt-static - OK" notice is that you've uploaded the content from inside the "/mt-static/" folder inside the folder "/15dnBlog/" and the "index.html" file that was in the movable type package mt-static folder takes precedence to the index.php file.
What I would advice you now is to remove the file "index.html" from inside the folder "/15dnBlog/".
Next time leave the /mt-static/ folder inside the "/15dnBlog/" one ;)
Kind Regards,
