Hello, after installing MT, I stopped at the first step.
In URL: http://contraindicaciones.net/cgi-bin/mt/mt-wizard.cgi
I get the following welcome screen:

But when I press start ("comenzar" in the screen capture) it show me the same welcome screen. I installed several times MT (by FTP and SSH) but the result is the same.
Has anyone encountered this problem?

I had also experience the MT5 configuration wizard problem. I download the latest build, its nightxxxx build, the wizard run successful.
An alternative to the configuration wizard you could edit the mt-config.cgi-original file.
Edit the settings in there, change the file name to mt-config.cgi upload it in ASCII mode, and change its file permission to 755.
Then, go to the CGI Path and the movable type installation dialog would show up.

Hi Mihai, Thanks for your response. I also tried this method. I have tried several methods, including manual editing of mt-config. The result was the same: The movable type installation dialog shown me over and over again the same dialog box without advancing to the next dialog box.
Any ideas?

I would suspect that some of the movable type installation files aren't uploaded, or weren't upload in ASCII mode (excepting the /mt-static/ one).
You may like to provide me access to your server via email and I could check it for you.

(One method for installation was the upload the MT original zip file and, then, decompress via SSH. I supose that this eliminates the possibility of wrong ascii upload.)

Indeed if you've decompressed the installation file, you don't have an issue with missing files or files uploaded in binary mode, instead of ascii.

Hi Mihai, I just solve the problem!
I found the problem to gather info to send you by emal. Mt-config file was named "mt-config copy" on the server. I changed the name to "mt-config" and everything seems to work correctly:
