Setup a MT 5 blog without a MT website?

Vote 0 Votes

I just purchased and installed Movable Type 5. I already have a website in place, and I just want to add a blog to my site. Is this even possible? Should I have just stuck with MT 4?

I want to set up my blog as follows:

a) I want the main blog address to be at the root - http://www.example.com/blog.html

( with a .html after the word blog - not like this /blog/ )

b) and the Permalinks to be like this - http://www.example.com/2011/08/blog-entry-title.html (with a .html file extention at the end of the permalink)

Thank you.
