Hello,
Thanks for the assistance on moving my site from one host to another. I established that successfully, I hope, I still have to examine it more closely, but my database, layout and stylesheet are upgraded now.
However, in attempting to post, I get this message "Error making path '/home/ralopez/public_html/2011/03': mkdir /home/ralopez: Read-only file system "
I have checked the permissions and everything is set at 755. Is there anyone out there who will be willing to assist me.
Thanks again
Richard

Do you have enough space?
Thanks for your reply. I started to search the documents earlier today, I ran across two other postings with almost identical incidents as mine. Just one of all 3 of our postings had a reply. Turned out this may have been the only reply and the only correct answer I needed.
I had to change the preferences path on my blogs settings. It finally eliminated the update error message, but after publishing, I took a look at my site and all the styles and some of the structure was gone. My head went dizzy. So I opened up my templates and my index page was intact, the styles were set to the default styles of MT.
I figured oh no! Before going into my computer folders and retrieving a copy of my styles sheet, I thought I would make sure I could post again. I was still not able to, so I checked my preferences again, they were ok and I published the site again. This time everything came back to norm, and I was also able to once again publish and post.
So, for now, everything seems to be working. I still have to play around with it to make sure the site is sound proof.
Thanks again
Richard
