Automatic Email Notification on Publish

Hello.

I'm looking for some way to automatically push email alerts to my address book when a new entry is published on a certain blog. Unfortunately, this blog is on our private intranet so I cannot provide you with an address.

Anywho, I've configured the server to send email, tested it, and figured out a way to allow users to subscribe or unsubscribe. Email notifications work fine when they are pushed manually using the share functionality. I just can't figure out how to switch this over from a manual process to an automatic one.

Any help would be appreciated.
