Blurbs for Google Alerts

I notice that when Google Alerts sends out a notice of my blog postings, the alert does not include the blog entry excerpt. Instead, the alert gives an excerpt from my blog bio page.

Is there a way to set this type of alert differently, so that that entry excerpts are pulled?
