I'm following the instructions to migrate to mysql from Pg I found here - http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/mt5/database/migrate-sqlite-postgresql.html
The backup works fine, but when I go to restore, nothing happens. Basically, the mt.cgi script runs on my server for a few seconds, and then exits. I can't find any errors in the Apache logs, and I'm not sure where else to look.
Is there any good way to debug this? Or maybe there's a way to run the restore from the command line?

I don't think there really is. The MT backup/restore mechanism is not very reliable. I'd go back to using Postgre. It's not been dropped as a compatible database, but rather is simply "not supported."
