Hi im new to this and im using MT5.01
I have problem publishing the actual domain like www.domain.com instead of www.domain.com/blog
i have read http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/administrator/managing-blogs/creating-a-new-blog.html#publish-a-blog-to-a-websites-root-path but its still not working for me

You could have your top level Website publish at www.domain.com/, but any blogs under that top level Website are forced to have a different URL like say www.domain.com/blog/ or www.domain.com/something/
I hope that Six Apart would look into this for the next release as people don't like it. It's like you're now free any longer to organize your stuff as you like.

My recommendation for now is to stay with the latest version from the v4.x series which is v4.34.
Unfortunately at http://www.movabletype.org/ from the top you could download only the MTOS (Open Source) version which doesn't contain some cool features, such as custom fields, and user registration and profiles.
There is a download place at:
http://movabletype.org/downloads/archives/4.x/
But Six Apart forgot to add the v4.34 version there.
You could send me an email from my Website and I can send you the v4.34 pro version.
