Hi, I accidentally put in the incorrect root and well I need it to go to the domains main root and not to a directory inside the domain root.
I tried to find a way to do this, but the dashboard will not let me change the root.
can anyone help?

Never mind I figured it out, duh lol
I'm going to provide an answer in case other people would face the same problem you've had.
To my understanding you wanted to change the site url or server path for a blog, but that you couldn't control what you've provided during the setup, because the 'blog' is considered a subdivision of the 'Website' in movable type 5.
So you had to go to the 'Website' admin and change there the site url or root and then come back to the 'blog' admin and do any other changes you wanted...
In other words, the part of the URL or site path which is not editable in the dashboard of a blog, it is coming from the parent "Website" of that blog, so you have to go to the "Website" admin and change the site URL or path ;)
