I've been trying all morning to setup autoposting from Delicious and its failing miserably
Unfortunately Delicious is not giving a very verbose error message and I can't see anything in my MT logs either
The error I'm getting (constantly) is:
03/16/10 06:00:04 AM -0700] Creating blog post at http://www.xxxxxx.xxxx/cgi-bin/mt/mt-xmlrpc.cgi ...ERROR: Failed due to XML RPC2 Exception: 1 : Invalid login | XML RPC Error
The username is correct
And I've tried both the web services password and the "normal" one and neither work
At a total loss here
Anyone have any ideas??
Really stupid question number 41.
When you looked up the web services password for the username what account where you logged into the admin interface with?
Rob
The one I wanted to use for Delicious
I use an XMLRPC based editor on my desktop and it's working fine, so I'm at a loss here ..

I'm waiting for the posting from Delicious to run, to see if it works for me (it's been years since I used Delicious, but it used to work fine).
Are there any errors in the server error logs? Wondering if Delicious is getting a different error, and just returning an Invalid Login because it doesn't know any better?
The job just ran, and didn't encounter any issues (using the relevant username and Web Services password). :-)
Are you using the same username as you're using without problems with your desktop client, or a different account (perhaps with different permissions)?
Maddy
I've setup a desktop client on this computer (different to the one I was using earlier) and the XML RPC connection is working fine with the user / pass pair
I'm going to try it again just to see if it's something really stupid like a trailing space or something.
Thanks for checking
