which license, help please.

Hi,

I want to setup a website for my band using MT5. However I'm uncertain as to which license to use, as technically we are an organised group. We don't seem to fit into any of the exemptions from he business license i.e this isn't going to be a one man Blog, -
I want to use the new CMS features of MT5, I don't even know if we will ever use the blogging aspect at all.

so this line from the FAQ under "Which MT license is right for me?"

'If you are a person who blogs, then the Blogger license is for you '

is concerning me.

From what I understand from reading the post by Byrne Reese on Aug 13

a blogger licence for MT Pro is sufficient so long as you are not incorporated, which we are not. I just wanted to clarify if this is still the current situation? can someone of authority confirm this?

Thanks

  • Hi, terre

Personally, I think you can use "pro" license if your band is not professional and your personal band, but it's my own thought.
If you are worrying the license distinction sensitively, I'd like to recommend you to use "MTOS".

You can use this package for your own band at ease. It lacks some functions relative to professional package, but is enough to built your own blog or website.

If you need to share template code, replace all the "<" signs with "<" or use this utility.
