I am new to Movable Type, and simply wanted to make a small html change to an existing widget. After looking at some forum posts on updating the chages i made, I did the following:
1. Made the changes
2. Design / Templates / Refresh Blog Templates
The mistake...
3. I chose "Apply a new template set" (the same name as the current template that had all the customisations).
I did have "Make backups of existing templates first" checked.
After this, the site reverted to the classic blog template. Is there any quick way I can rollback to the previous version of this template that included all the customisations?

There is no 1 click method that I'm aware of, but since you're saying you've checked "make backups of existing templates first" then movable type saved your previous templates and you could manually set them up again!
You will have to go to:
Design => Templates
And from the sidebar under "Useful links" to click on:
Template Backups
At that point you would be able to see your previous templates!
You'll have to recreate them and also to make sure you replicate the options such as for instance the output file or the Archive Mapping (for Archives Templates).
