Memcache instalation error

I'm following this instruction:
http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/mt_and_memcached.html

installing libevent-1.4.13-stable and Memcached v1.4.4

When I'm executing ./memcached -d -m 2048 -l 127.0.0.1 -p 11211 &
I've got the following error:
./memcached: error while loading shared libraries: libevent-1.4.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any helppleese???
