Hi, I'm new with the movable type, currently I need to have different content types with their own fields, which is supported by the customfield. The question, what is the best practice to customize the Movable Type? How to make several custom field to be required for a specific content type and not required for some? Thanks.

Custom fields are already only required on certain type. A custom field on the entry type won't even exist for other types like assets, pages, folders, etc. unless you make another one for each type that custom fields supports.
