When I view the html for my blog, archive and index templates, I see mostly MT tags. On my website, I have included no-right-click scripts which prevents most people from "borrowing" my art, photographs and writing, and I'd like to do the same thing on my blog, especially since it highlights new works. Where the heck to I add this? It's usually in the of the page, but I can't tell where that is in any of these templates. Can I do this in MT?
Reported on Movable Type 4.3
Of course you could do that also in movable type.
Assuming that you are using one of the default movable type v4.x template set, you will have to add the no-right-click script within the header module (inside the HEAD html section).
However, you should know that such a protection is only for non technical people. Any technical people could steal your source code if they want. There is no serious protection against that at all.
It's not perfect, but it stops the people most likely to download images, especially. I added this--it actually went in the , but no matter how I refresh or publish, it still doesn't take effect. The header module code in that area reads , and it's usually fine to add this after that and before the first . Here's my blog--I have to fix the menu--but can you tell me if there's something I'm not doing correctly?
