It would be really nice to be able to send an email to every user of a blog/website at once, like a mail-list.
It would also be nice to be able to target the mail to, say, just the commenters.

That would be nice indeed!
What I did for a client was to export the users data depending on role so that he could email them.
However, you should be careful with this not to spam people ;)
In this customer case all the users agreed to receive a newsletter...
I like this idea too !!!
