Where do I locate all these componenets? I never read anything in the instructions about any of this stuff?
I am trying to get rid of WordPressMU do to way to many issues
Reported on Movable Type 4.3
What the heck was that?
What distribution of Perl are you using on Windows?
I am using 5.10.1.1006 and PPM 4.06 if that will help
Also, as advised I installed the 32-bit version since the 64-bit version did not come with packet manager
thanks
run ppm and you should be able to enter the module names to find and install them
If you have done the deafult install of ActivePerl you may need to enable additional repositories so that you can get more choice in modules. Look in ppm settings for this option and enable all the default ones.
Ok I am adding Libraries from Winnipeg (shich did not really change any available) and am adding trouchelle right now
Where do I go from here?
Under the "areas" tab, it shows only 1 active
I am so new to this it isn't funny but anything has to be working better than MU
OK -- eveything appears to be passing the mt-check.cgi but now when I run the wizard this is what I am getting:
Got an error: Base class package "Data::ObjectDriver::Driver::DBI" is empty.
(Perhaps you need to 'use' the module which defines that package first,
or make that module available in @INC (@INC contains: D:\mt\cgi-bin\extlib D:\mt\cgi-bin\extlib lib C:/Perl/site/lib C:/Perl/lib .).
Why is it looking for them in \mt\cgi-bin\extlib instead of cgi-bin\mt\extlib? Did you move the MT files around?
LOL -- good question
I have all my web folders on D drive and intetpub on C so everything is "virtual" on my server and not being absolutely certain of the "where to put these files" issue, "The Windows install instructions" aren't the most succinct in the world
How about throwing me a bone here -- I actually have this running but having permission problems however, I suspect it is because I do not have the file hierachy correct
So here's what I have:
d:\mt
d:\mt\cgi-bin\*.cgi
d:\mt\cgi-bin\*lib\*.*
For the instructions lead me to believe that putting the files in a folder "mt" was the way to go
Is there a link to the actual folder structure (the where to place all these files, sort of thing"?
I built my first blog named in WorldNewsVine (which unfortunately I had that folder an active web and it overwrote the index.html) so, I decided the way to go was to create the "blogs" in directory "mt"... still having permissions problems
Help! lol
just put the whole contents of the zip file in one folder, keeping it's folder structure intact, don't pull out any files into sub-folders.
cgi-bin is an apache thing, don't worry about it in IIS.
Add your MT folder as a virtual directory in any IIS sites you want it to appear.
Sounds like you've just moved files around unnecessarily, put everything back to how it came in the zip and you should be fine.
