Why aren't you upgrading to movable type v4.x?
Anyway, not sure if recaptcha works with v3.x, but you could give it a try.
An alternative for v3.x is the Scode plugin.
I'm not updating to v4.x yet because I like having MT support. ;-)
Oh, and I *did* have recaptcha on my v3.x at one time so I know one of the captcha plugins works (but I can't remember which one it was).
I would believe that recaptcha works also for v3.x, just not sure.
However, Scode works like a charm with v3.x.
As for the support, you won't get it for free even for v3.x series unless we would be happy to assist you ;)
