Not sure if it's me or not ... the rich text editor seems to hang in Firefox 3.5 every now and then -- it won't even let me type in the box. Also had some issues with the "update" button not working in Safari 4 -- had to refresh the page. Any one else seeing this? I haven't filed a bug yet because I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing to cause the problem.
Since 5.0 is a beta, it's more important for you to go back to mt.org and file a bug report.
I just tried the beta and I am glad to see I am not the only one experiencing this. It's weird because I can click Update Save and then the content shows but then later it acts up again.
Actually to be totally honest, and this is a major issue with most cms systems, is that the whole concept behind a cms is to manage content whether you are creating, editing, or even deleting it. The most important function of a cms is its content editor and I still yet to see a cms put a top quality editor in that is worthy of praise. I always see these limited fisher price versions or editors that are based on tinymce (which I absolutely cannot stand it because it still to this date changes my code. As any web designer will tell you, DON'T CHANGE MY CODE!). I would like to see the other editor choices in MT scrapped. Anyway, to the point at hand, yes, you are not alone...I have been experiencing this issue of not being able to type in the window or even paste content.
Still, on a positive note, this new version I think will grow on me...it's quite a change. Now if only we can get a pro high end editor in place by "default" and not as a third party plugin :)
It looks to me like if ever there is any dialog or pop-up in the edit entry screen, then the save and update buttons stop working. Even the "are you sure you want to leave this page" seems to break them!
