Problems with Ø - scandinavian letters

Our domain name is økomom.dk - it's now possible in Denmark to register names with æ, ø and å.

We have installed Movable Type and it is working all in all. But we are having trouble when saving new entries. Apparently Movable Type is looking for a server with another name than the one we have entered (økomom.dk)

Error message:
Firefox kan ikke finde serveren %c3%b8komom.dk
(Firefox cannot find the server %c3%b8komom.dk)

Anyone who have experience with this or an idea for how to solve it?
