Page Assets bug? MT 4.3

I was very excited to see this new assets management feature, being able to associate assets with an entry or page without actually embedding the asset or using a tag, etc.

This has been working just fine since I've installed 4.3 a couple of days ago. I was just moving some code around, and suddenly the expected output stopped showing up on the page. At first I figured I'd just fat-fingered something, but when I reverted back to the original code and published and still got nothing, I decided to take a look at the actual page entry in question. No assets! They'd been deleted from the page. They're still in the Asset Manager. When I try to attach the assets to ANY page and save, the Assets area comes back empty.

Anyone else encountered this?
