I have two identical blogs. When I am saving an entry on of them it takes like 5-8 seconds and on the other blog 35-45 seconds. Entries are almost the same with one image and some text. I am trying to improve the saving time on the slowest one because some times it times out. I have enabled caching on the template modules but didnt see much of a difference. Both blogs run out of the same mt.cgi. Any suggestions?

What templates are you using on the slow one?
what kind of archive types are you using?
When that happened at our site, we cached like crazy and fired up the publishing queue, but publishing an entry could still take 5 minutes.
The only thing that eased it was deleting more than half of the biggest blog's 10k+ tags. That took it down to about 30 seconds.
Take a look to the "External Notifications" in the "Web Services" part of your "slow blog", if some notify party is not work, your problem here it is.
We were on the same situation now,Svetlin.
it was really crazy waiting for saving some of my blogs in my site. It was really slow, and I was really bothered about it. Is there anything that I could do to improve this?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
