I am looking through my entry summary template and there is a segment i don't understand:

What does mean?
I assume the entry summary template is used for my index page and category/monthly archives and that a separate template called "entry" is used for individual entries...
And I'm not seeing any page on which this instance of code shows up in my blog...

Whatever code you posted didn't actually make it into the topic that was published. You might want to try to post your code again, using the HTML encoder, which is the link in the sentence above the reply field that reads:

Based on the subject, it means if you are inside of an entry archive. Beyond that, you need to repost the code. Try clicking the link as Dave suggests.
Ah yes, sorry about that. But I think Chad, you answered my question, thank you. I understand what that line means now. :)
