MT 3.31 : Skinable error messages

Vote 0 Votes

Hi all,

Is there a way to skin error pages such as : "An error occurred: Comment text is required."

I see this message is displayed by the mt.cgi controller but don't know how to hack it.

Thanks by advance,

best regards,

Adrien.

  • If you're talking about in the CMS admin area, then no, not without some hacking.

  • If by "skin," you mean change the wording of these error messages, yes, you can edit the Comment Response system template near the bottom of the templates list.

  • Hi,

I'm talking about the page that appears when a user doesn't fill the comment area.

I had a look in the all-tmpl but it is empty for now.

Would you please tell me where is the good directory ? If this is the good way to skin the error message page, will this page be common to all the blog i run under the instance of MT ?

    Thanks,

    Adrien

  • Hop,

If you further informations that you think will help, do not hesitate =)

  • Hey,

nothing seems to match my need under this directory.

I saw that the cgi handling the error message is mt-comments.cgi.

    Thanks for your support,

    Adrien

If you need to share template code, replace all the "<" signs with "<" or use this utility.
