metaweblog API

i would like to use Adobe Contribute CS4 with my movable type setup. The good thing about this is that i can type off-line and upload later...

But the problem is that i cannot get contribute to accept my login details. I have to connect via the MetaWeblog API. that part works, but when i type in my loginname and my password the system tells me it is the wrong password and loginname...

Does anyone have a solution to this or has anyone have the same problem? (I feel so lonely...)

    Are you using your normal login password, or the Web Services password? I suspect the former.

    Go to your user profile, and you'll find the Web service password, which I'm willing to bet you'll find works just fine.

    What if Contribute is telling me that it cannot connect to the server? I am using the web services password, and the file permissions are correct. I don't know what's wrong...
