I just recently downloaded a desktop blogging application (Blogo, which is similar to Ecto and MarsEdit), and I can't seem to configure it properly to work with my MT blog.
I've been working with the Blogo developers, but we haven't had much luck. We think it has to do with the fact the XML-RPC needs to be enabled on my blog, but since I have no idea what XML-RPC is, I don't really know how to enable this.
Does anyone know? Is XML-RPC default on all MT blogs? Why would my desktop client not be able to pick up the feed/account details from my site?
Thanks.

RPC is enabled by default, however you need your webservices password, not the one you normally log into MT with.
Ok. Once I have this password, where do I put it? I've tried adding it to my Blogo configuration (i.e. account username and password), but I still get a message that says "permission denied" once I get through the setup wizard.
I don't really know blogo, but from the screen cast when you set up and type in your blog url on the next screen you should put your username and web services password.
Yeah. That's what I tried to do, but it says permission denied. That's why I was wondering if I needed to enable xmlrpc somehow, or grant some other kind of permission.
Thanks for all your help.
Maybe I'll try bugging blogo's developers a bit more.
