Would it be worth adding the ability for an admin to easily tag an entry as a "Frequently Asked Question" which is then listed in a separate index (and searchable)?
This is more relevant for support forums than normal community forums and has a slight cross-over with the idea of stickies, but allows more of them to be saved, listed and searched on.
I could implement this myself, just wanted some feedback on whether a) users think it's worth it and b) if admins would actually bother tagging entries.
So this would be more than just private tags then?
Not much, but the point is, it doesn't exist here. i.e. it's not been implemented on the sixapart forums. Should it be added to the sixapart forums?
Private tags is how it would be done tho, you're right. Be nice to have a button on the public side (js generated is an admin), so that tagging is easy.
When I asked Six Apart Support earlier this year why there is no "tags" field for the Community templates, they said it was because tags could not be passed through mt-cp.cgi.
However it looks like this is changing in Motion, because if you click on "more options" on a Motion post, it indeed has a Tags field. So there would be no reason (I should think) to not be able to use @tag in there.
