Will pay for mt4 installation

Vote 0 Votes

Hi, I am having trouble installing MT4.2 on my Network Solutions virtual private server. I am hoping one of you experts might be willing to do the install, and get paid of course.

If you are interested, please comment here or shoot me an email at: matt@mattmartone.com

Thanks, Matt

  • Have you posted your problems installing it here?

  • I have not, only because at this point Im just too confused with what exactly has gone wrong.

I'm really not as technical as I thought. :)

I tried following step by step instructions but the one big issues is that once installation seems to be complete and I navigate to the mt folder via a browser, and I click, 'login to movable type,' naturally it tries to hit the mt.cgi file in the cgi-bin folder...BUT what happens is the contents of the file are displayed, not executed.

  • That's pretty common, actually, when you have a server that doesn't have CGI execution set up properly. Contact Network Solutions, and ask them to verify that they have CGI script execution in place, and if so, where it is set up. It may be that they have it only in cgi-bin (or something similar) or that it isn't configured at all. 99 times out of 100, when this happens, that's the culprit.

  • Awesome. Will do. Thanks for the help. Ill let you know how it works out and will try to add some value to this forum.

    Thanks again Mike.
