"No System Templates could be found."

Vote 0 Votes

I just installed MT 4.21 on my server. This is a clean install, not an upgrade. I'm trying to figure out how to change the design of my blog, but I don't see anything in my installation which allows me access to templates or themes.

  • I keep looking at the documentation for MT 4 (since apparently there is no documentation for 4.21) and it shows that there should be things like index templates, entry templates, and other things. Here is a screenshot of what my "templates" page looks like under the design tab.

It took me forever and a day to upload MT to my server and I'm really quite upset about this.

  • They are the system templates common to all blogs, there's not supposed to be a lot in there unless you're on the pro version.

Create a blog and the go into it using the selector at the top left and that's where all your blog templates will be, under the "design" drop down. Also the screen will have a blue tint to show you are in a blog rather than the system overview.

  • Aha, I see. The tab contents change depending. Kind of annoying. But I see the difference now, thanks!
