Sendmail Error

I am using sendmail for my MT4.2 installation. I sent a test email during instalation and it worked. Now that I tried registering for the forums I set up (test user), I get this error:

Error sending mail: RCPT TO: error (550 relay not permitted)

Any idea what is wrong?

    I fixed the issue. Well, didn't fix.. just changed method. The title of this topic is wrong.. the error isn't using sendmail, it is using SMTP. I changed to sendmail and it works now.. but I never got SMTP working.
