Using the SVN version of action streams and have noticed a recent change to the way that it handles google reader annotations.
Would it be worth reconsidering this change? Previously they were added to the annotations field which you could grab at will, however now they are tacked onto the end of the stream line itself (if i've read the code correctly) so are forced onto you, not great if you have a "summary" and a "detailed" action stream.
I have no problem commmenting out the relevent lines to get the behaviour I want, just wanted to open it up to discussion.
Reported on Movable Type 4.2

I generally like the previous behavior. The default action strings should be short, descriptive sentences; adding the annotation to the end kind of breaks that. Brad Choate made this change, so I'll ask him about it.
With this Google Reader behavior and your patch for the Delicious stream, I think we should figure out a standard behavior for notes across streams, like for URLs and thumbnails.
Awesome, glad you spotted that, sorry it was all a bit fluffed up! I'll re-read stuff first from now on :)
A tag for descriptions could/should be the way forward then you don't need complicated setvar sections to get the information out without breaking for the next service. Is that easy enought to implement? Just the same as the thumbnail would do the trick.
I have no idea which additional services might include descriptions though, I don't use an awful lot of these things, but if you're pressed for time, I don't mind signing up and finding out if they do and what is required to extract that info.
