Premature End of Script Headers

Oh yeah, and I have verified the files were uploaded correctly and that all the permissions are set as they should be as well.

I had the same issue on a test site. I figured out that the problem was related to the /cgi-bin/mt directory permissions being changed to 777.

I had checked all the other files, re-uploaded, etc. Missed that simple thing.

I've checked permissions on all folders and they're all correct too. Still no luck with logging in. I am able to enter my username and password, but when I click "sign in" I get the 500 Internal Server Error.

Any other suggestions anyone?

I just did a new install, and all seems to be fine thus far. And still not certain what was screwed up with the R3 to R4 upgrade.

Not sure if you ever figured this out, but I had the same issues, and discovered that even if all my *.cgi files had the 755 permissions but the parent directory (i.e. all the *.cgi files within directory "/mt/") had the permission set to 777, then it would still give me the 500 error. When I changed the blog directory itself to 755, then it worked!
