I had threaded comments working for a while, but after a day of updating all of my templates based off of the new 4.2 ones, I've run into a weird problem. Here are the basic facts:
- Comments submitted before today are threading properly.
- Clicking on the reply link properly populates the form.
- The newly populated form field contains the correct value for the parent. (verified using Firefox's amazing Webmaster Toolbar extension)
- Once the form is submitted, the comment is properly added to the database but the ParentID field is set to null.

Any ideas about what can be going wrong? Because the form checkbox value is populating correctly, I'm assuming that the Javascript is right. I have quadruple checked that the field names match the js and the Threaded Comments documentation.
What could be going on here?
Do you know if you still have Simply Threaded installed? Have you refreshed and published your javascript template? Has your comment form been fully refreshed and updated?
It sounds like the answer is yes, but I want to make absolutely sure. I worked on this forum's threaded comments today and ran into issues - getting everything just right took a while, but it was done.
Disabling Simply Threaded was an important step though.
