Just to see what would happen I created a page in my new MT4.1 installation, then I deleted it (about-me). However on the front page, under 'Pages' there is still a reference to it: Pages
* images
o journal
+ about-me
How do I manage this so it does not display? Can't seem to find anything in the interface.
I also am using the minimalist grey style. What's the best method to edit the CSS as I can't see how you can do it through the interface? Should I just download the CSS, make the changes and then upload it again. Seems like a long-winded way to make lots of tweaks and small changes. Is there a better way?
Thks

Ok I found the info on adding a custom teomplate http://www.learningmovabletype.com/a/howtocustomizedefaultstylesinmt4/
Now I did this and to test it I made one change in the #header-name.
This totally screwed thew whole CSS..everything..not just the #Header-name div
I deleted the css import, then deleted the custom style..yet the unintended changes remain...how could this be? I was not editing the original stylesheet..how could it have been affected? Am I missing something?
Hi Martin, after following the instructions on LMT I had a similar problem. View the source code on you website to see what css stylesheet is being referenced. I found that it was my new custom stylesheet and not the global styles.css. I had to manually insert the code for the global stylesheet into the header template. If then worked properly.
In the comments on LMT, Elise suggests adding the line of code underneath everything else on styles.css. This might work, I didn't try it.
Thks Toni.
I have discovered that I am dealing with the Pages widget. It is still displaying info on a page that has been deleted.
I tried dragging it to the uninstalled column but to doesn't want to go there. I tried using mt ignore tags - this stops the erroneous display but stuffs the widget.
How do I make this widget behave?
I also dragged the calendar widget into the installed column (its in the widget set I am using) and I have republished but it doesn't display. Any ideas?
Forget it...sussed it out finally. :-)
