It seems users signing in with openid get their openid displayed as nickname, and not their real nickname? Is this correct behaviour? If not, will it be fixed in realease?

OpenID itself does not specify the notion of "real nickname". There is however another spec called OpenID Simple Registration Extension which specifies how to retrieve user's nickname and/or email and a few other personal information, by user's permission. The spec is implemented by a few OpenID Providers and we are looking to implement it in the future release.
