What are the hopes of seeing these improvements to MTCS, seeing as MTCS doesn't even have the 4.1 improvements yet.
This fragmentation is starting to get a little long in the tough, no?
Is there a time table for that?

You're talking about separate things. The Community Solution is an addition to Movable Type. So, strictly speaking, this has little to do with CS, other than the possibility that 4.15 may introduce incompatibilities with (the current version of) the CS pack. Do not read that as a suggestion there are incompatibilities; I don't know that. Assuming no incompatibilities, then yes, CS automatically gets all the new stuff if you upgrade the core MT application.
The Community Solution itself is having work done on it, and I think that version should be released along with 4.15, or shortly after. If you have a license, I would think you'd probably get more information about that from your contact than here.
I'm not sure what you're referring to with "fragmentation?"
As a sidenote, in case you know/find out first: Is 4.1 not usable with the current CS version? I've got an inquiry out.

I am installing MTCS 4.1. I do not know what date it was released, but I just logged into my TypeKey account and downloaded it. That is not "alongside" MT 4.1 came out months ago. There are a lot of very useful plugins that do not work in 4.0 and do in 4.1. I am glad to finally have MTCS 4.1, it gives me more things I can do now.
I somewhat understand, but do not agree with, why MTOS gets the updates (cuch as all these 4.15 betas) before MT Commercial, MTCS, and MTE. But the staggered release of the updated MT code from MTOS > MT Commercial > MTCS seems a bit slow to me.
I know we all work in a NOW NOW NOW world, but it seems like there would be a better way to distribute core updates to the additional flavors of MT, such as MTCS.
One of the biggest things that bugged me about MTCS, running on MT 4.02a, and I had many long discussions with Anil about this, is the templating code was - for lack of a better term - wack. It was as if it was sorta kinda all changed over to the newer modular code in 4.1 but large chunks were not. In fact when I brought it up, Anil knew exactly what I was talking about.
I am performing a complete domain backup. Once it is done, I am going to upgrade to this MTCS 4.1 package. I hope to report happy times.
Ass far as MT 4.1 not being usable with the current (at the time, you wrote that April 8) CS version, MTCS is not just an additional install on top of MT, which is what I thought it was. MTCS is, from my outside looking in view, a completely seperate braanch on the MT trunk. This is what is installed on my server right now: Movable Type version 4.02a with: Commercial Pack 1.0, Community Pack 1.0 . Now, I do have an MT 4.1 install, but that is entirely seperate.
