getting started with MT installation

Hi, Could you please put me through how I can get MTOS installed on my laptop. I had XAMPP installed on my laptop but I don't how to install MTOS on the laptop. I read that to install MTOS I would need an apache and mysql which the xampp combined. Specifically, I want to know what I need do to get the MTOS running on my laptop. Thanks. Abolade.
