Is there a way to post notices, system-wide, to the Dashboard? Something along the lines with those yellow notices that new users see when they first logon about first posts etc.

Hey Byrne-
Are you making it a plugin that uses the dashboard widget framework or are you building it into the core? Two features I would like to see are:
*send message to select groups of people based on their permissions
*allow the admin to decide if users are able to dismiss the message

+1 - would love a small notepad-like feature in the dashboard - one of the older MT versions had the ability to change the welcome message, and I used that like a notepad.. was really really useful, would love to see something like this again too.

Ok again, would love to have a 'notepad' type of feature in the dashboard. An older MT version had a welcome message you could modify, and I used that like a notepad and found it really useful.
