Vote 0 Votes

I'm not a programmer and Like to find out how I can embed FLV files on my blog entries. I found something on the web, but I don't have a clue how to get started?

Perhaps someone can help me with step by step guidance?

  • I think the best tutorial I have found is on Adobe's web site.

When it comes to video, I strongly, strongly encourage the use of a third party service. I do not believe that video hosting, especially of large files, is a trivial thing to do. Bandwidth costs can be extraordinary, and as the Adobe article mentions, you may need special server software to facilitate the kind of end user experience you desire.

    I recommend:

    • Fliqz - see the Fliqz plugin
    • YouTube - see the Media Manager plugin
    • blip.tv

All of the above services provide you with the HTML necessary to embed their player in your web site. I find the process to be very easy and recommend them to most MT users.

Are their other video hosting services people recommend?
