Members - Publishing

Hello,

We are defining a travel community using MTCS. One of the key functionalities will be the possibility for the members to publish content (not only text, but formated content). For example: a member will be able to publish it's last trip and to add photos

What some questions arised:

  • Can we define diferent formats of Entries depending on the section of the web. Example: a specific form for trips and another one (with diferent fields) for Hotels?

  • Does MTCS allows a member to edit his last entry?

  • CAn a memeber selected multiple categories where to publish his content?

Many thanks

[Byrne] Yes you can provided that each source is a different "blog". This works quite well actually when you think about it because each blog can be configured with its own set of custom fields in order to collect data specific to hotels vs. restaurants for example.

    • Does MTCS allows a member to edit his last entry?

[Byrne] Not via the published weblog. But the capability is conceivable through a plugin. Mark Carey would be a great person to approach in building that feature for you.

    • Can a member select multiple categories where to publish his content?

[Byrne] Not by default. And not yet. :)

  • Hi Byrne,

Thank you. It helped a lot!

    Greetings from Barcelona
